listen, i'm getting too old for a lot of things. but i'm not too old for words. for a baggy pair of jeans and my boyfriend's t shirts. i'm not too old for wine in paper cups and a marlboro every once in a while. i'm not too old for peper pan and i'm not too old to quote holden caulfield. i'm not too old to lay in my bed all day trying to get this story out of my skin, trying to burn it through the paper and leave my thumb prints hanging from each corner. i'm not too old to read books under my covers with a flashlight, not too old to stare at the glow in the dark stars stuck to my ceiling at night. i'm not too old to ride around with the windows down and simon and garfunkel turned up, because that's the way simon and garfunkel should be played. i'm not too old to jump on my bed and refuse to wash my hair. i'm not too old to run around bare foot with a smile stuck on my face even when times are hard. and i'm not too old to get out of here. next spring i'm taking off. to hear summer turn into fall. to listen as the leaves in the park somewhere whisper stories in my ear. to fall asleep in the rose gardens, wake up when winter laughs under my sheets. to write letters back home on paper napkins, make lightwaves feel like experiences. to make mistakes, to write poetry in the backest seat of a bus, to exchange a thousand awkward words with people i've never met, to do things i have never done on my own before, to fail miserably time over time, to fuck up and never ever give up.

I hate piping.

Hello! May I introduce you to the worlds most hideous dress, seriously. And lucky me, I made it! I had absolutely no idea it would look this ghastly, in fact when I saw the pattern in a thrift shop i thought it would be incredibly easy and may even look somewhat cute, however it does not. I'm also incredibly embarrassed that I sewed it so horribly, i've never done such a crappy sewing job on anything! It wasn't even that hard of a pattern, i just started it so long ago, and with my sewing machine constantly eating the fabric, or me having a lack or supples or patience, i wouldn't put enough effort into it, thus it turned out hideous with a bad sewing job. It looks almost medieval, and its SO HUGE! Eww.

It's spring break at last! My big plans involve me doing... absolutely nothing, it's glorious! The only constructive thing i've done in the last four days is sew this plain little bag- which i don't really even like. Apart from that i've been watching a lot of T.V., old movies, and reading Stephen King books :). I am so good at doing nothing. I still hope to sew a few other bags, and sew another one like this that looks better. These are some pictures i took in Lethy last weekend! Happy Spring Break!

In preparation for a craft sale...

There's this lovely little craft sale happening in a little coffee shop in two saturdays and i've been invited to go :D! Since this is my first time ever selling my stuff, i'm preeeetty nervous and not quite sure what to expect - or if people will even like my stuff for that matter. Because i wasn't given much notice, i've decided to make mostly simple things. Nothing too extravagant (although nothing i make is usually very extravagant...). Here's what i have so far, and yes i am aware i have almost nothing. Suggestions, comments, constructive criticism...? Splendid :D

Title??

I'm so excited for Christmas! I've been trying to handmake most gifts and get them done in time! I actually have alot more to get done but since i'm not working this week i think that will make my life a lot easier :D. I have one small problem: my Dad really wants the old TV seasons of Get Smart(about the detective Maxwell Smart) for Christmas, and i can't find them anywhere. I don't have a credit card so i can't really order it online. Does anyone know of any stores that sell it?

Today...

There are only eight days until we leave for paris, and only two more days of school. I am really excited, but really stressed. I was wondering if any of you have ever been to paris, or have suggestions of things i need to bring, or places to visit, or anything at all! :)

Back finally

After several very horrific exam weeks, i am back! But I haven't had much time for crafting lately, so I've only made two cosmetic/pencil cases, and my first attempt at a journal :D :D :D!!!
