I love evening runs, they're so relaxing and such a great way to finish off ones day.  I just got back from one and i feel absolutely marvelous!  Speaking of ones day, today the poisson (the name i call my mother) and I made jam :).  I'm happy to say it was a success, the only reason being, because she helped me, ha ha! But regardless, the help i contributed didn't destroy anything or cause a disaster :D.  We made strawberry/rhubarb jam, and the rhubarb was from my garden!  It was really quite an interesting process, apart from preparing the fruit, it was really rather easy and didn't take too too long, to my immense surprise.  The crushing of the strawberries was pretty nifty...  So we made this delicious jam and tomorrow we are making blueberry jam!  I am so very excited, it shall be swell.

So tomorrow is the great day where a nice large group of us give our two weeks notice in, at the restaurant that i work at.  It's rather convenient since i have an interview at Starbucks on Thursday, i really hope i get the job.  Aaanyway, my next post is actually going to be a craft post.  I've been making little things here and there but i haven't actually sat down and sewn anything in a very long time.  My sewing table was stolen by another member in my family as well, so it will be interesting working on the floor.

I think if any normal person were to take a look at my garden, they would shriek in horror and tell me its hardly a garden.  But if someone were to tell me that, i would first tell them they were wrong, and after which, tell them to get the hell off my property.  It's filled with lots of carrots, unfortunately not ready yet; even more peas, which i picked two giant glass bowls of today; beets, eww, but for the health-nut mother; three different colors of beans; giant juicy tomatoes; a few strawberry plants; a few raspberries bushes, far fewer than last year unfortunately; lettuce, which is just scrumptious; and rhubarb.  But if anyone were to enter my garden, although even that would be hard, seeing as the weeds and spreading raspberry plants would come up to about their knees, but if they were to successfully wade into my garden, it would be very difficult to distinguish which plants are which.  Either way, whatever, i've picked so many peas that I think i'm going to have to start leaving them at random stranger's doorsteps.  I also have a marvelous supply of lettuce to keep me happy for the whole summer, enough tomatoes to eat them like apples, and i can mismatch my beans and have multicolored ones, sadly the purple ones turn green when cooked though :(.  At some point this summer i'd like to get around to weeding it, but i'm not going to count on having time...

I also surprised myself this week by accomplishing actual stuff!  This is so abnormal for me!  I read two 600 page books, responded to all my pen pals letters (it's about time!), harvested things from my garden, applied to get a job at some places, hung out with my posse and started some craft stuff!  I hope you had a great week!

Wow it has been a very long time since i've posted anything here.  Sorry about that.  I do have reasons.  Well firstly i was gone to Burkina Faso for two and a half weeks and a week after that in Paris.  Upon arriving at home my lovely summer school correspondence teachers informed me i had two weeks to finish my entire social course.  It would have been okay if i was more motivated, but i'm just not.  So pretty much i didn't do anything the first week, i hung out with my friends, went to the the Dark Night (mwah!), went to a carnival for the first time, all that good stuff.  Come this past week i was really stressing out and had to finish 8 modules in like 5 days as well as take a midterm and a final during that time too.  So that was lovely, i actually finished, i have no idea how.  But the day i finished and took my exam, i started feeling queasy and had to cancel all my celebration plans because i was throwing up everywhere.  Luckily whatever it is i had is almost gone, and today i feel glorious in comparison!  But while i was sick, i read the first two books in the twilight series - i was forced.  But i'm really glad i did, i thought they would be really gay, but i love them!  Hopefully i can finish the third by Friday before the release of the next one!  Today we are going shopping :D hee hee.  I'm pretty excited, i'm sort of quitting my one job and if i don't get another until the end of the summer, i don't really care.  It would be nice to not work this summer for a change, or if i do it won't be very many hours.  The place where i work as a hostess (where at they treat us literally like pieces of shit), is lowering our wage so about ten of us, and possibly more, are all quitting on the same day, heh heh heh.  Normally i would feel guilty, but the management staff are hoes.  August will be such a great month!

So this ^ is my attempt at some cooking stuff.  They all tasted really good, surprisingly, for things that I made.  This week i will be making baked-stuffed apples, a veggie stir-fry and a bunch of salads! Yeee!  Oh and P.S.  Pen pals, if you happen to be reading this, i'm so so sorry i haven't written as often as i should have, i'll be sending out some letters tomorrow!

So today i woke up and decided not to go to school.  It's nice to have that option when there are so few days left and we are learning nothing new.  After lunch some of my friends who had spares came and joined me and we made cupcakes together for the rugby party tomorrow :D,  I am soooo excited!

This summer I want to bask in the sun, without a care in the world.
I want picnics on the grass, and long walks late at night.
I want to wake up early to the sound of birds chirping, and sunbeams streaming through my window.
I want to go to bed late, and sleep in a tent under the stars.
I want to eat raspberries from our garden until i can't anymore.
I want to travel across the world, and across the country in a van full of friends.
I want to feel soft the grass beneath my toes, and jump through puddles of water in a rainstorm!
Summer, please come soon!

For a big project in German class we had to do research and a presentation on a German city.  Our group chose Nüremberg, which is famous for it's Lebkuchen(: a traditional German product baked for Christmas, somewhat resembling soft gingerbread.  Lebkuchen bakers were recorded as early as 1296 in Ulm and in 1395 in Nüremberg.  The latter being the most famous exporter today, of the product that is known as Nüremberg Lebkuchen.) which i baked for the class!

I've been unbelieveably busy and feeling very uncreative lately, but I'll have something crafty to post in the next little bit :)

So yesterday was pie day!  I was planning on making a whole bunch of maple syrup pies, but unfortunately I couldn't find all the right ingredients, so I decided to make cupcakes instead :).

I was just about to write a 9803897359781 word blog about how depressed i've been, and how very shitty I feel at the moment, however, i will spare you all the agony :)

I have made cake, muffins, cookies, and more cookies!
